Man Who Grabbed Ariana Grande at Premiere Banned from Singapore

An Australian man, Johnson Wen, 26, has been barred from re-entering Singapore after jumping a barricade and grabbing Ariana Grande during the Wicked: For Good premiere on November 13. He received a nine-day prison sentence for public nuisance. Wen, who previously disrupted events, including a Katy Perry concert, faced backlash for re-traumatizing Grande, who has PTSD from the 2017 Manchester bombing. Following the incident, Grande’s co-star Cynthia Erivo ensured her safety. Despite his claims of gratitude, Wen was arrested and found guilty. Grande has yet to comment on the incident.
