Cafe Offers Free Breakfasts for Vulnerable People

A community cafe in Telford is stepping up to help those in need by offering free breakfasts for vulnerable people this winter. Hummingbird Cafe, located at Meeting Point House in Southwater Square, will provide these meals three times a week until the end of March, ensuring that individuals facing financial or personal hardships can enjoy a hot meal without any requirements for forms or explanations.

Community Support

Wayne Jenson, the site’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the role of community backing in launching this initiative. He noted that the breakfast program is made possible through the generosity shown during their free Christmas Dinner event held in December.

> We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas project, whether by donating money or helping on the day, Jenson expressed.

He also highlighted the increasing need for such support, stating, Every donation helps us reach more people — public support will allow us to extend this offer further and ensure that no one who needs a hot meal is turned away.

As winter progresses, the Hummingbird Cafe remains committed to its mission, and every contribution helps ensure that those in need can rely on this vital service.
