‘We Are Ready to Talk’: Savannah Guthrie’s Emotional Plea for Her Abducted Mother

US news anchor Savannah Guthrie has shared a heart-wrenching video message, requesting the safe return of her abducted mother, Nancy Guthrie, and urging her captors to provide proof of life.

– We want to hear from you, and we are ready to listen, Savannah said, visibly emotional and accompanied by her siblings in the Instagram clip posted on Wednesday night.
– Nancy Guthrie, 84, vanished from her home in Arizona during the night over the weekend. Authorities suspect she was kidnapped and are collaborating with the FBI to verify a potential ransom note.

Savannah Guthrie’s Plea: We Are Ready to Talk

– We are ready to talk, Savannah emphasized in her video. However, we live in a world where voices and images can easily be manipulated. We need undeniable proof that she is alive and that you have her.
– It is norm in kidnapping situations for negotiators to ask for evidence of life, though it’s unclear if Nancy Guthrie’s children were advised to take this approach by authorities.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office confirmed they are continuing conversations with anyone who interacted with Nancy last weekend but have yet to identify any suspects.

Savannah, alongside her sister Annie and brother Cameron, acknowledged the existence of an alleged ransom note, which has reportedly been sent to at least one media outlet.

– Mommy, if you are hearing this, you are a strong woman, Savannah said, her voice breaking with emotion.
– Everyone is looking for you—everywhere. Your children will not rest until we are together again.

Urgent Health Concerns for Nancy Guthrie

Authorities have raised alarms about Nancy’s health, as she is currently without her necessary medication. Savannah highlighted these concerns in her plea:

– Our mom is our heart and our home. Her health, her heart is fragile. She lives in constant pain. She needs her medicine to survive. She needs it to avoid suffering.
– Reflecting the family’s agony, Annie added, The light is missing from our lives. Momma, if you are listening, we need you to come home. We miss you.

Government Response and Community Support

Following the emotional video, President Donald Trump took to Truth Social to address the situation. He announced that he had ordered federal law enforcement to assist in the investigation and to ensure the safe return of Nancy Guthrie.

– I spoke with Savannah Guthrie and let her know that I’m directing ALL Federal Law Enforcement to be at the family’s and local law enforcement’s complete disposal, IMMEDIATELY, Trump stated, expressing his prayers for the family.

The Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, described a comprehensive search operation involving dogs, drones, helicopters, and federal agents to locate Nancy.

– Nancy was last seen on Saturday evening in Catalina Foothills, an affluent area about six miles northeast of Tucson. Her absence from church on Sunday morning raised concerns, leading to family engagement.
– Upon inspecting her home, detectives encountered a scene that prompted grave concern, although details were not disclosed.

Sheriff Nanos reiterated the belief that Nancy was taken from her home against her will but declined to comment on reports regarding evidence found at the property, specifically the claims of blood.
