Café Offers Free Breakfasts for Vulnerable People

A community café in Telford is stepping up this winter by providing free breakfasts to those struggling to access warm meals.

Support for Those in Need

Location: Hummingbird Café at Meeting Point House, Southwater Square
Service Frequency: Breakfasts will be available three times a week—Monday, Wednesday, and Friday—from 08:30 to 09:30 GMT until the end of March.
Eligibility: No forms or explanations are required; anyone facing financial or personal hardship is welcome.

Chief Executive Officer Wayne Jenson expressed gratitude for community support, particularly highlighting a successful free Christmas dinner in December. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported the Christmas project, whether by donating money or helping on the day, he stated.

Making a Difference Together

– The breakfast initiative is a direct response to the increasing need for support within the community.
– Jenson emphasized that every donation helps us reach more people, reinforcing the importance of public involvement to sustain and potentially expand the program.

This compassionate effort ensures that no one in need is turned away, promoting a stronger, supportive community in Telford. For updates, follow BBC Shropshire on BBC Sounds, Facebook, X, and Instagram.
