Flights Returning to Normal After Airbus Warning
Thousands of Airbus planes are resuming normal operations following a brief grounding due to concerns that solar radiation could disrupt onboard computers. Approximately 6,000 A320 aircraft needed a software update, with around 900 older models requiring a computer replacement.
French Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot reported that over 5,000 updates were completed smoothly, and fewer than 100 planes remain needing attention. While Air France flights faced some delays, Delta Airlines anticipated limited impact on their operations. Although Jetstar in Australia canceled 90 flights, disruptions are expected to be minimal. Following tight coordination, most carriers are back to normal as of Saturday, alleviating concerns over solar radiation affecting Airbus systems.
